Whew! Expert-a-Thon day 1 was a huge success. And I had to leave early, well, on time. With a breath of fresh muse in the air, creativity wafted through every room. Lorin and Kathryn were fantastic! Both gave interactive workshops on scene building and POV, creativity and how the brain works(or how mine should)...wow, wish I could stay all weekend. I am stoked for more writing and revisions Lorin helped me brainstorm. Hope everyone can drop by and peek at the pics I took and maybe write me a line or two. Thanks to Diane who graciously opened up her home to so many people for the weekend. We're behind the red door...enter at your own risk. Mwahahaha. Let the fun ensue...

Ready for the Write-a-Thon! Pages printed, office supplies packed and sandwiches...sandwiched. Daughter even made me a special folder to pack my pages in. She's an egg right out of the nest. (grin) So, tomorrow I'll be becoming a better author. Then it'll be time to send out agent queries. Oh, maybe I should wait to see what place I secure from the Fool for Love contest. What do you think?

Write-a-Thon

7/13/2010

Friday's write-a-thon is coming and I'm just giddy. An appointment with Free Expressions expert, Lorin, should make my manuscript even better. With snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic of course, we do have to drive home) we hope our writing muses will find it within their hearts to bless us with many hours of uninterrupted writing bliss. Diane, can your house take so much collective, creative bombardment?

Good Morning All,
I'm a newbie/unpubbed author still learning the ropes. I finaled in VRW's Fool for Love contest, so I think that means I've managed to let something sink in to my stubborn brain. One day I hope to join the ranks of those multipublished authors I admire so much. To put pen to paper and weave a story other people choose to spend time reading is one of my greatest dreams.
